High Sierra SUV Trails, Volume IV - The Southern End will describe rough road excursions at the southern end of the Sierra Nevada. These rough road adventures will take the four wheeler on excursions out of Sanger, Porterville, Bakersfield, Kernville, Lake Isabella, Tehachapi, Inyokern and Mojave. As always, Roger and Loris Mitchell will not only describe the jeep trails over which they guide the reader, but they will also cover the flora, fauna, geology, and history likely to be encountered along the way. The book will be well illustrated with current day and old historic photos, some of which have never previously been published. The routes described range from easy to moderately difficult, but all should be within the capability of modern day pickups and SUVs. Each trail described includes detailed directions, a map, GPS coordinates at key intersections, and a difficulty rating scale.
